1979 saw the first parcel of land purchased to create the property that today is known as Lockerbie, Kalkallo. At 497 hectares this is one of the more significant rural properties on the northern outskirts of Melbourne. This property was one of the pioneers in its use of artificial insemination for its merino breeding program.

Today this property runs a fine wool wether flock with wethers being supplied from Glenaroua Station where all our merino breeders are run.
